You see this is what he does, he acts like a 3 year old school girl by following me around all the play grounds with a crush. 

And this is just from one site! Multiply this by about 10 or 15 and you’ll have the full effect of where this dolt stalks me at, yet some how he’s only ever gotten 3 maybe 4 comments back during this time period of me basically laughing in his face because he’s such an idiot. Maybe thats what upsets him so much, I’m not sure but you can see he is clearly a very angry (and apparently gay brandon sheley) person.

I was a long time member at the site vBulletin Setup. When I first started going there, everything was decent the owner Brandon Shelly was helpful and courteous to us members. Then everything started to go bad.

I logged in one day and all my helpful posts had been removed resulting in a loss of back links and revenue, but I wasn’t banned or limited on the forums just my posts gone like that.

I then hired the owner to do some work on my site, upgrade vBulletin, move it to a new location and server optimise my settings and install a few modifications.

All this was suppose to be done between Nov 1st and Nov 15th, during this time I sent a 300 deposit for the work to be completed, which was approx half of what we agreed. After 7 days with nothing getting done i was getting nervous and he said that he was working on everything on a private server, so I said okay thats fine and he showed me the work.

I’ve attempted to contact him 4 times after that with no luck, and no refund has been issued. It appears I’m out of my money and time lost for this project.

I have screen shots of conversations over MSN and private messages as well as my receipt for payment. be careful when hiring this guy for your service.

As you can see, more claims from former vBulletinSetup forum members where their forum account is mysteriously gone after sending payment and not being given the chance to post about their experience against Brandon Sheley

Yesterday I got an unexpected News Letter sent to me from a particular forum board I joined a while back. And I didn’t have to guess twice which forum in question it was sent from, one owned by “Brandon Sheley” called General Forums. The thing is though, I shouldn’t have got that News Letter because I have my “Members Profile” set-up there to Not receive anything from the Administrator. And this is something I do with every vBulletin Powered Community I join, not just his. And it’s done during the initial registration stage when first joining.

However, I decided to double check my profile settings over at General Forums to make sure I hadn’t over-looked it previously. But things were as expected, it was indeed activated in my profile settings already.

Why I suspected the News Letter came from Brandon Sheley

The reason why I said above: “I didn’t have to guess twice who’d sent the News Letter“. Was because I’d been reading on another forum I visit, “Brandon Sheley” talking about trying to promote his forum further and was looking for News Letter software he could use with his vBulletin board.

Knowing Brandon Sheley like I do (from past dealing with him), he went and did exactly what I suspected he’d do to try and promote his forum. That of ignoring all his members who had chosen Not to receive any “Forum Board Messages” like News Letters. He went ahead and sent it anyway to them, which is something you can do by over-riding your members profile settings in vBulletin as (Owner/Administrator).
Take great heed of Brandon Sheley’s mistake

It’s not something you should do lightly as a forum board owner if your members have chosen otherwise to receive them, because it will annoy the hell out of them for very obvious reasons. Plus, you may lose those members as a result for good.

And this is exactly what’s happened with me now. I’ve added Brandon Sheley’s forum board email address to my spam list in Hotmail, no longer will I bother with his community. Especially after seeing that the News Letter sent from General Forums was marked (week 1), meaning he intends to spam his members with weekly news letters.

You can see the strategy here, buy as many dead forums as possible, merge them together, spam the crap out of everyone, then sell a dead forum based off the post count. We hope anyone who gets soaked into his forum has a strong spam filter, or can figure out a way to opt out of the constant spam. It’s bad enough spamming, but then changing the forum e-mail address to fool spam filters maybe a new low for common spammers like Brandon Sheley.

I joined the site vBulletinSetup roughly 1 year ago. After having some pleasurable dealings with members and staff there I finally decided to pay the big money to have the owner look over my site and fix everything left that another member didnt finish.

He said he could do the work for lower price, but then sent an outrageous bill to my Credit card. Not only that, but the work was never completed or my money refunded by mr. b sheley of sheley enterprises.

he has since been banned at numerous communities, and is now being known for this stunt.

Please help spread the word to avoid vBulletinSetup and Brandon Sheley at all costs.

Of course this poor user has probably had a hard time getting people to believe his story since Brandon Sheley owned the site and everyone sided with him. But we’ve attempted to contact the original reporter of this Rip Off Report for the scammer, to get further details. Check back often to see the out come!
